Fibre Optic Networks
Buildings and larger sites can be interconnected by the means of fibre optic networks. The fibre optic network can provide both local area and wide area networks. Within the same building fibre can be used to provide a backbone for the distribution of data between a number of comms cabinets. This has the added advantage of increased speed when compared to standard copper cables and also the ability to transmit over greater distances than standard copper interconnectors.
R.A.S. fibre optic networks can be used for services other than those of data network transmission. They can provide signal interconnectivity between CCTV, Access Control or Intruder Alarm Systems.
